Injection Molding in Neuhaus-Schierschnitz, Germany

In April 2006 Medi-Globe acquired the micro-Injection Molding facilities from the Sorin Group (Italy), located in Neuhaus-Schierschnitz, Germany. This acquisition represents an integral component to Medi-Globe’s vertical integration plan, now enabling Medi-Globe to manufacture in-house many of its previously outsourced plastic and silicone parts. In addition, as a result of this acquisition, Medi-Globe continues to be an OEM supplier to Sorin, as well as for a world-renowned laser equipment manufacturing company and others.

Acquired along with the Injection Molding plant at Neuhaus-Schierschnitz, Medi-Globe also acquired a fully equipped tool shop for the manufacturing of Injection Molding tools.

Wound Care in Neuhaus-Schierschnitz, Germany

Today, the clinically proven GLYCOcell gel dressings are produced on a large-scale format in Me-di-Globe’s newly equipped, generously sized clean room (ISO class 7). A variety of the GLYCOcell product line is manufactured under certified and validated conditions in Neuhaus, Germany. The portfolio of products includes innovative special forms and all other popular standard sizes.

A manufacturing capacity of up to 5000 pieces per hour meets the current sales demand, plus allows for the accommodation of additional strong growth.

During follow-on additional production steps the dressing is sealed into customized single blister packages, then each batch is sterilized and subsequently distributed into the various markets.
