Medi-Globe
GmbH develops, produces and distributes innovative
medical products for minimal-invasive treatment-methods.
In addition to the root-business, to develop
and distribute instruments for flexible endoscopy,
Medi-Globe also focuses on the development
and marketing of top-innovations for cardiology,
urology and wound-treatment.
The story of the Medi-Globe GmbH began in
1985 when to company GIP Medizintechnik was
founded. Initially the focus was the development
and production of re-usable instruments for
flexible endoscopy. Due to high quality and
functionality of the products, the name GIP

ReBite®
- Biopsy Forceps, RotaCut®
- rotatable Sphincterotomes und RotaSnare®
- rotating Polypectomy Snares have world-wide
recognition due to their user-friendliness
as well as their durability and are, to date,
part of the Medi-Globe product line.
One can describe the Lithotripsy-System
StoneBuster® ,a tool used to demolish
gall-stones, as a “living legend”.
It is considered a leading mechanical Lithotripsy-System
throughout the world. In 1996 GIP Medizintechnik
GmbH was taken over by the German-American
Medi-Globe Group. Specifically the world-wide
distribution profited from the link to the
Medi-Globe Group; this was due to rapid development
and additional channels.
Today, Medi-Globe GmbH distributes its instruments
in approximately 40 countries through a global
distributor-network and several braches
and offices in the USA, France, Brazil and
China. The majority of the products are patent
protected and have international product licensing.
(i.e. FDA for the USA, CMDCAS for Canada).
Manufacturing sites in Germany and the Czech
Republic ensure flexible, efficient and competitive
production of the product range. The active
Quality-Management-System,DIN
EN ISO 9001 and DIN EN ISO 13485 norms and
EG-Guidelines 93/42 as well as Canadian Medical
Devices Conformity Assessment Systems (CMDCAS),
ensures that our customer service and product
standards are above par.
In 2002, GIP Medizintechnik GmbH was renamed
to Medi-Globe GmbH. With the name change came
international orientation and brand recognition.
With
the present introduction of the top innovation
GLYCOcell®
Wound-Management System and micro endoscopy,
Medi-Globe is in the process of positioning
itself in the ever growing and new business
fields cardiology and wound-care. |
